Country and Classic Rock

We have been playing together as a group for about one and a half years. Our members are from Clarington, Oshawa and Lindsay and we mainly play where we live. Since we began we have performed over 50 shows at various functions such as fundraisers, community events and dances.  Our music is a mixture of Country and Classic Rock. We have our own take on several of the songs we perform and they are often crowd pleasers. We will be entering the recording studio in late Spring to cut our first CD. The greatest pleasure we get from performing is watching the people enjoy the music and just having fun.

Campfire Country

BAND MEMBERS Ken (Digger) Harrison, Lynda Burnett-keyboard, Ken Lightle-guitar, Don Sieffert-base guitar and Devon Martene-fiddle

Over the years, we’ve spent our summer vacation and weekends sitting around the campfire picking and a grinnin’ and singing those old country tunes hence the name “Campfire Country” which we formed in the spring of 2004

From the Priceville/Durham/Markdale area in Grey County, Ontario, we play traditional old country and gospel music for community festivals, dances, church fundraisers and private parties. This past year, we performed at 35 engagements all over southern Ontario including Washago and Hastings. A couple of years ago, we had the pleasure and honour of opening for Terry Sumsion and this September, we are booked to play at the IPM RV Entertainment Tent

Devon, our fiddle player has just completed a CD and it should be released this summer

BAND MEMBERS

Hailing from Bancroft, Ont., the Back Porch Pickers offer a unique blend of classic country with a dash of bluegrass which is sure to get your feet tapping . Be sure to check out their first cd entitled ' Live From the Village Playhouse' which will be available at the show.

New Frontier

BAND MEMBERS: Brain Cosbey, John Foreman, Ivan Dafoe

Bluegrass

Brian Cosbey is a country gentleman who has been playing and singing for the past 28 years.  He was born and raised in the Madoc/Stirling area and still calls this home.   Brian has such a love for country and bluegrass music that he has become proficient at playing not only the guitar but also the dobro & fiddle.  He also loves to restore old violins to bring them back to look and sound as wonderful as they once did.  Sometimes he plays locally with a group called New Frontier, and has also played with a group from Oshawa area from Embassader Records, where he was able to record a couple of CD's.  He hopes that people enjoy listening to them as much as he did recording them.  Brian has a great joy in meeting new people and is looking forward to meeting any and all who wish to come along and chat for awhile.

John Foreman is well known in the Bancroft area.  Always looking for an excuse to play music.  Don't have much fun but make alot of money.

Music has always been a passion for Ivan Dafoe but has always been open minded as to styles.  In more recent years he has been playing in the Jamborees throughout the summer which has brought a whole new crowd of friends.  He has soon realized that people of music are as diversified as music itself.
